Set along the historic Shawnee Trail near College’s Frisco Campus serves more than 8,000 students and offers programs and amenities that encourage exploration, collaboration, and critical thinking. In addition to a broad selection of general education classes, students can take advantage of unique and award-winning programs at the Frisco Campus. Over the past year, the Frisco Campus has undergone a transformation.
Renovations have been completed at five of the campus buildings - Alumni, Heritage, Founders, and Lawler halls - as well as the conference center. The new IT Center opened at the Frisco Campus last fall. The campus moved all IT-related courses and programs to the center, providing an opportunity to create more general-purpose classrooms and learning spaces.
Renovations also included a refurbished student center, CougarDen, with the addition of a gaming area, a Starbucks, a new Student Engagement Services area, as well as a parking lot. A new kitchen and food service area in Alumni Hall is open to students, faculty, staff, and the community. “As the campus has grown, the needs have changed,” said Craig Leverette, Frisco Campus provost.
