About Collin College
New healthcare programs are coming to Collin College to fulfill the area’s growing educational and workforce needs.
In addition to academic transfer and workforce programs, the college will offer new Associate of Applied Science degrees in Medical Laboratory Technology, Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging and Invasive Cardiovascular Technology.
“Collin County has a growing population as well as an aging population,” said Dr. Angela Duell, dean of Health Sciences. “These new programs are designed to address healthcare needs not just in the county but the Dallas-Fort Worth area.”
These programs will be housed at the Frisco Campus’ new Health Sciences Center opening January 2027. The 120,000-square-foot facility will feature hands-on simulation technology and state-of-the-art labs. Aspiring healthcare professionals will receive rigorous training from experienced faculty while benefiting from the lowest tuition in the state.
“Collin has strong community connections. We’ve built great relationships with area hospitals, and they want to hire our students because of the quality education they receive,” Frisco Campus Provost Dr. Diana Hopes said.
“The best thing is when students say, ‘these programs changed my life,’” Dr. Duell said. “I hope the Health Sciences Center will be a place of innovation and collaboration where students feel inspired for years to come.”
